About Moby Dick

Moby Dick has been a Santa Barbara tradition for at least 40 years. As of July 2009 Moby Dick is operating under a new management team. Our goal is to provide fresh food, great service and spectacular views. We have a wonderful banquet room that accommodates up to 80 people for meetings, parties, etc. We have an outdoor cocktail patio and the Sunset Room for happy hour Monday thru Friday from 4 to 7 PM. In November 1998, Moby Dick was destroyed by fire, we reopened in 2000. Here at Moby Dick there is always something exciting going on – big waves, surfers, sailboat races, visiting whales, and dolphins. About Stearns Wharf

Stearns Wharf was completed in 1872. Over the next 100 years, the wharf went through many phases. Storms and economic disasters buffeted the wharf, but it survived. A plan developed in 1979 by the city of Santa Barbara resulted in the Wharf and waterfront  transformation into a people oriented park with lots lots of open space for do-it-yourself entertainment, fishing, strolling, and a beautiful ocean view.
